Best Practices for Soliciting Company Contributions

1. Determine what organization within the company makes charitable contributions - may be a foundation or human resources.
2. Determine the schedule for reviewing requests and what documentation is required.
3. Complete the proper forms and submit along with appropriate backup information (the Karecki brochure, FAQ, information about the SRCEA from the Web site - http://srcea.src.org/programs/karecki/default.asp. Ask the SRCEA (virginia.wiggins@src.org) for additional information if you need it. Be sure to submit the request in a timely manner.
4. Solicit support in writing from other company employees.
5. Some organizations request a presentation. A PowerPoint presentation can be downloaded and edited as appropriate for your company.
6. Ask when a decision will be made. If you don't hear from the funding organization in that time, check to see if they need further information.
